MIUI 9 Global Beta For Xiaomi Devices

MIUI 9 firmware update is now available for the supported Xiaomi Android smartphones. If you own a Xiaomi phone and want to get the MIUI 9 version on your device, this tutorial will help you do this. This new MIUI 9 version includes enhanced performance and new features that make the user experience a joy to use. This new ROM also comes with better resource optimizations, app launches and a better user interface. Although it isonly based on Android 7.0 Nougat, not on Android Oreo, with this latest release, Xiaomi is bringing a new UI that is flat and less cluttered.

Before flashing the new MIUI ROM on your phone, here are some certain requirements you should meet:
1.      Make sure to back up all important data on your device
2.      You can update your devices running MIUI 5 / MIUI 6 / MIUI 7 / MIUI 8 stable ROM via Fastboot.
3.      The devices running on MIUI 8 Beta Rom can simply update from the settings.
4.      Download the MIUI 9 ROM in Fastboot package or for the Recovery Mode.

5.      Download and install the Xiaomi USB driver onto your computer
6.      Charge your phone to at least 50% so that there is nothing wrong happens during the update.

How to Install MIUI 9 ROM (Fastboot) on Xiaomi Phone
1.      Once you have downloaded the Fastboot ROM for your Xiaomi phone, extract the file using WinRAR or WinZip.
2.      Download and install Mi Flash Tool on your computer.
3.      Now, switch off your phone and boot it into the Fastboot mode. To do this, hold Volume Down + Power buttons for at least 10 seconds.
4.      Plug the phone to your computer and launch Mi Flash Tool
5.      Click on the select button and choose the folder where you extracted the Fastboot ROM file.
6.      Then click the refresh button and Mi Flash Tool will then recognize the files and display your device info on the screen.
7.      Select the middle “save user data” option in Mi Tool Flash if you don’t want to delete all your data
8.      Now click the flash button to start the installation
9.      Once done, your phone will reboot.
